About Priscilla · Latina · Bilingual
Support through vulnerable seasons, rooted in trust.
I support families through birth, feeding, and postpartum with listening, education, and care rooted in trust.

My story
From social work to birth work, my calling has always been supporting families.
I’m a first-generation Latina from a Mexican immigrant family. I earned a BA in Human Services with a minor in Biblical Studies. Over 10 years in social work and public health, I worked as a Family Support Specialist and Parent Coach, supporting families through important transitions.
I saw Spanish-speaking families too often left without clear, accessible explanations of their maternity care options and without the space to make fully informed decisions. I wanted to help families feel heard, understand what was being discussed, and make choices without pressure.
I pursued training in birth doula support and lactation so I could walk with families through pregnancy, birth, feeding, and postpartum. In 2024, I founded Informed Birth & Beyond to offer the kind of compassionate, culturally aware support I believe every family deserves.
Informed Consent & Advocacy
Understand your options before you’re asked to decide.
I can help you prepare questions, understand the options and interventions your care team discusses, and express what matters to you. You deserve time to process information and make decisions without pressure.
I do not make medical decisions or provide clinical advice. I support your ability to take part in those conversations with your healthcare professionals.
Latina · bilingual · culturally aware
You deserve to feel understood, not translated.
As a Latina doula who speaks English and Spanish, I know how meaningful it can be to ask questions in the language that feels most natural and to have your family’s values treated with respect.
I welcome families from every background and belief. My goal is to offer care that feels personal, culturally aware, and free from pressure.
Servicios en español →Feeding and postpartum
Support for the questions that continue after birth.
My lactation education grew from seeing how important clear, compassionate feeding support can be. I help families explore breastfeeding, pumping, and combination feeding while respecting their goals and choices.
I support mothers, babies, fathers, partners, and parents of children ages 0–5 with practical education around feeding, newborn care, and family routines. Health concerns belong with your healthcare professional.
Faith-aware, whole-family care
Wellness support that honors your values.
Faith is part of my personal life and sense of calling. For families who desire it, support can include a faith-centered perspective; it is never assumed or imposed.
I take a holistic view of family wellness, including the everyday realities around feeding, rest, nourishment, and support. I offer general education and encouragement, not medical or individualized nutrition advice.
Training and experience
What I bring to this work.
I am a bilingual birth doula and advocate, Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), parent and child educator, and Parent Coach. I continue to build my lactation experience as I complete clinical hours toward IBCLC certification.
